Rusty Thought
Founded in 2002 by Japanese artist Ryo Katori, in their Tokyo Studios he & his partner handmake their little artworks using the ohaguro-yaki technique — typically meant to prevent steel blades like swords & knives from rusting. Rusty Thought's works express the contrast between texture & minimalism, skirting a line between touched by time & a found treasure, literally perfectly imperfect in that weird imbalance.
